I got my Mesmer's set from farming UW back when ecto's were worth something and actually used to drop, and sold off gold items I found in chests.
I don't consider myself a rich obsidian-wearer though. Definitely quite the opposite. :P |

Lots of hard work
I spent almost a full year saving cash/ectos/shards to purchase my FoW armor. While I did some farming and trading the majority came from playing the game, doing missions/quests over and over and not spending any money save on absolute necessities. |

I dont got Fow, but i got enough cash to buy 2 sets . I buy / sell miniature pets, only the non-bday ones though. That way, their value will go nowhere but up ^^ . Those mini pigs were a miracle-success story for those of us that spent 500g-1k each on them, and re sold for 25k ish / each :P.
Grawls arent that expensive, and kuunavangs. You can find em fairly chea p/ bargain and sell them elsewhere for max possibple price. Profiting the difference is better, depending on what pets u buy. Buying Oni's, Naga's, and Yeti's allows for atleast a 30e profit, to a 50e profit on resale within a few days. However buying the pet, and bidding against others takes awhile, and depending on how much into your profits you are willing to sacrifice (paying 100-150k more than u want to) for a quick trade. But if you plan it right, you'll never lose cash or break even, always profits . I dont got enough for Zheds, or any higher end mini's like that, but i'm sure the market , and profits are much greater on them. Anyways, start off with cheaper mini's, make your way up. |

I got mine because my friends gave me a lot of ecto (and some shards), and then I bought the rest from whatever cash I had in storage and by selling a lot of rare mats and dyes that had built up over my time of playing.
